How does this service work? It's very simple. Your long-distance
phone calls will be carried from city to city on the coast-to-coast
microwave transmission system of MCI. You merely call your local
MCI number, and punch in your personal code number on a push button
phone, before dialing the area code and the number you wish to
call.
(If you don't already have a push-button phone, you can call your
local phone company for easy installation. The savings on your
first call will probably pay for the small extra monthly charge.)
You can choose between two different services, Full and Super
Saver. The Full Service allows you to call long distance any time
any day or night of the week. The Super Saver Service lets you
call long distance during non business hours (between 5 p.m. and
8 a.m. Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday)
and national holidays.
Now American Express is pleased to offer these two low-cost, long
distance services to its Cardmembers -- with even bigger savings:
equivalent to 20% off the normal MCI monthly service charges.
