"Fannie Mae" Mortgage App Gets New Layout
We researched home equity
applications from competitors like Avco Financial, Household Finance,
CIT Financial, etc. and found they all use the same 14 inch long
application form designed by the Federal Fannie Mae Agency. Virtually
all banks and finance companies used this same application layout.
In addtion to the application
itself, other insert sheets were necessary: "how to estimate you
credit line", a step by step instruction covering "how to complete
this application" and a form for employment verification.
All these separate sheets
added considerable expense to printing, to lettershop insert fees,
to mail production spoilage and print materials inventory management.
Below is the first page
of a four page booklet style application we designed to consolidate
all these separate sheets. The image used will soon be replaced,
but it shows the basic design idea.
